Turn on the air handlers to improve air quality in the metro cars and redirect the air towards center of car, instead of blowing out the doors.
Most metro cars have very poor air circulation due to the air being blown down and out the doors. This is IF the air is even turned on. The air circulation should ALWAYS be on to prevent stagnant air that becomes hot and smelly. The air handler units should ALWAYS be turned on in each metro car, especially in the warm summer months. By redirecting the air that seems to shoot down at the doors, the air will help create a circulating pattern within each car, helping control the temperature and comfort level of passengers. This can be done by utilizing plastic or other type of cheap deflector attached to the air handler.
