Small ideas can make Metro greater.

Oriented floor neighborhood maps

Mount the Metrorail station neighborhood maps on the floor (outside main traffic flows), oriented to match the real world so people could intuitively know what direction to go to get where they're going.

Neighborhood signs at Metrorail stations are mounted on the wall with north pointing up, but it's often difficult to figure out which way is north and orient yourself to the map. Putting the map on the floor makes it clear which way you need to go to get to your destination. Putting the map(s) outside main traffic flows allows people to study the map without being trampled.
